Set the space you want to fill

Width counts occupied columns from left to right; Height counts rows from top to bottom. Both are outer measurements. A wider oval stretches horizontally, a taller oval vertically, and equal measurements produce a circle.

Read an oval row

Row 6 has a left segment at columns 3–3 (1 block) and a right segment at columns 29–29 (1 block). Leave columns 4–28 empty: that gap is 25 blocks wide. The row contains 2 blocks in total; it is not one continuous line.

Mixed centers

A 15 × 16 oval has its horizontal center through a cell and its vertical center on a grid line. Mark the two axes separately; do not shift one side to force a single center cell.

15 blocks wide, 16 blocks high: one cell-centered axis and one grid-line axis.

Use an oval footprint

Garden border

Measure the garden length and width independently. An outline gives you the edge blocks while leaving the planting area open.

Arena outline

Use a wide or tall outline to mark the ground before raising walls. Switch to Filled if you also want a count for the complete floor.

Questions about oval blueprints

Does Width always mean the longer axis?

No. Width is horizontal and Height is vertical. Either one can be longer.

What happens when the axes are equal?

You get the same circle and block count as the circle tool with that diameter.

Should I choose Outline or Filled?

Outline keeps the four-neighbor boundary for a border. Filled includes every inside cell for a floor. The outside dimensions stay the same.

Can I change dimensions and return to my progress?

Yes. Each width, height and mode keeps its own saved progress in this browser. Returning to those dimensions loads that blueprint again, unless its site data was cleared.
