How to Build a Circle in Minecraft
Measure the footprint, read the segments, and place blocks one row at a time.
Measure the outer diameter
Choose the number of occupied columns, including both outside edges. Positions 5 through 10 occupy six blocks: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. That is different from measuring only the distance between two coordinates.
Mark a square footprint of that width and height. Start with an outline if you are preparing the base of a wall.
Mark the center and axes
For an odd diameter, put your center marker in the middle cell. For an even diameter, mark the intersection between four middle cells. Draw two perpendicular axes through that point to check both halves.
With different odd and even axes, use the mixed oval center example.
Read separate row segments
Rows are numbered from top to bottom, and columns from left to right, starting at 1. Each segment includes both end columns.
Row 8 has a left segment at columns 3–3 (1 block) and a right segment at columns 29–29 (1 block). Leave columns 4–28 empty: that gap is 25 blocks wide. The row contains 2 blocks in total; it is not one continuous line.
Check segment lengths against the guide before joining blocks across the middle.
Build one row at a time
- Find the current row in the preview and read all of its segments.
- Place those blocks in the world, leaving the listed gaps empty.
- Choose Complete row when you have built it. Click a single occupied cell to correct an individual mark.
- Choose Next row when you are ready to move. Previous row returns to the preceding row.
Moving to another row does not complete it. Completing a row does not advance you automatically. Use Unmark row if you need to rebuild that row.
Prepare blocks for your mode
A 31-block circle needs 84 blocks in Outline (1 stacks + 20 blocks) or 749 in Filled (11 stacks + 45 blocks). These counts cover one flat layer. Multiply by your intended wall height separately.
The circle chart compares other outer diameters.
Keep a reference beside your build
Download PNG gives you a clean full blueprint you can keep beside the game. Your view zoom, completed marks and highlighted row are not part of that image.
Copy link shares dimensions and mode. It does not share personal progress. Progress remains in this browser, so keep using the same browser to resume and avoid clearing its site data.
